This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Statistics with Google Analytics are only loaded if you give your consent. Fonts, icons and photos are loaded from our own server.
Who we are
This website is run by Dennis and Mariska, together Dutch Duo Adventures. You can reach us via the contact page.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email address and message, together with the time, the language and a shortened code (hash) of your IP address to prevent abuse. Your message is also sent to us by email through our hosting provider. We only use your data to reply, do not share it with anyone and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Preventing abuse
To fight spam we briefly count, as an encrypted code, how often messages are sent from an IP address or email address. We also keep a security log with a partly masked IP address (the last group of digits is left out) and a short excerpt of blocked messages and login attempts. That log is shortened automatically and can be cleared by us.
Cookies and local storage
The contact form uses a temporary technical session cookie to prevent abuse. It disappears when you close the browser. If you switch language yourself, we remember that for a year in a cookie. In your own browser (local storage, never sent to us) we remember your chosen theme (light or dark), your cookie choice, the 'Recently viewed' list on an artwork page and whether you no longer want to see the notice when leaving the site.
Visitor numbers
On our own server we count, without cookies and without IP addresses, how many pages are viewed per day and which pages are popular. These are only totals that cannot be traced to a person.
Ordering
You order with our print partner, whose own terms and privacy statement apply. We do not receive any personal data about your order on our website.
Print partners and brands
Dutch Duo Adventures is an independent website run by Dennis and Mariska. Werk aan de Muur and Art Heroes are our Print-on-Demand (POD) partners and act as our production partners: you order our artworks from them, and they handle payment, production, delivery and customer service. We otherwise have no direct organisational ties to these companies. All works and texts shown on this website were designed and written exclusively by us. Their names, logos and brands belong to the respective companies and are used here only to show where you can order our artworks. All photos and texts on this website are ours.
Affiliate links
Some links to our print partners are affiliate links. If you order through such a link, we may receive a small commission. Nothing changes for you: the price is the same and you pay nothing extra. These links are marked as sponsored. A cookie may be placed on the partner's website to record that you came via our site. Their own terms apply to that.
The photos in our Instagram gallery are fetched by our own server and shown locally. If you click a photo you go to Instagram, where Instagram's terms apply.
Hosting
Our website runs at a hosting provider. It may keep technical log files, such as your IP address and the time of your visit, to keep the service secure and available.
Your rights
You may view, correct or delete your data and object to its use. Send us a message via the contact page. If we cannot resolve it, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
The contact form and login are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks invisibly whether a visitor is human, without puzzles or advertising tracking. Technical data from your browser and your IP address is sent to Cloudflare for this. Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy.
Google Analytics
If you agree, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are viewed so we can improve the site. We do not know who you are. Google sets cookies for this and may process data outside the EU. Without your consent nothing is loaded. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie choice" at the bottom of the page.
